TX: out of state vehicle registration

My vehicle registration is up at the end of May.  Tx allows you to do it 90 days in advance and given the vagaries of mail forwarding I figured I should get started. One of the complications I wasn’t looking forward to was the mandatory inspection problem – turns out it’s not a big deal

Marfa, then Fort Davis

Hueco Tanks

Spent the weekend at Hueco Tanks state park, my first stay in such a park in my fulltiming adventure.    I want to see state parks but I don’t necessarily want to stay in them. A couple of reasons for this:

thoughts on domicile

Doing more research. Texas requires the annual in-state inspection which would be a pain if one ever returned “home.”  Maybe I just won’t come back. I have zero interest in driving to Florida to establish residency. Nevada mail forwarding companies are much less robust than the SD companies, which have TONS of info and help
